Last month, our long-serving Parish Secretary Mrs. Dee D’Orazioannounced that she was retiring, effective October 1. Dee has been more than just an integral part of our parish staff. She’s been the heart and soul of our parish office for over 30 years! She knows more about the parish -its history and people- than just about anyone else. It will not be the same without her.
Dee and her husband Rich are still members of the parish, of course, and we thank God for that! We will continue to rely on her knowledge and advice; and our 3 remaining secretaries, Mrs. Mary Guy, Mrs. Carol Snyder and Mrs. Barbara Paolini, will consult with her as they assume the duties that Dee performed so exceptionally well.
We are very blessed in these wonderful ladies who not only perform their tasks so efficiently but also so warmly and cheerfully. As Parish Secretaries form the “front line” of parish operations, their influence is felt in the manner in which they greet and serve all who come to the office or call on the phone, and I am so very grateful to and for them. I cannot imagine what our parish would be like without them!
Included as well in this are Mrs. Marie Cirino and Mrs. Rita Dove who staff the Welcome Center during the weekend. They really do put the “welcome” in the Welcome Center, and are such a gift to the people of our parish!
Please keep Dee and all these lovely ladies in your prayers, and be sure to thank them for their service to our parish community. From all of us at St. Charles, we wish you, Dee, a very happy and healthy retirement, and send you our love and deepest thanks for your many, many years of selfless service to us! God bless you and your family always!
Now…LET’S GO EAGLES, FLYERS, AND SIXERS!!
In His Love,
